A Star Wars Meme! Now there’s a good idea. I’m always on the look out for these but this is the first time I have felt inclined to share one that I found. I’m sure I will be sharing more down the track. This one kind of resonates with my whole website goal to maintain the star wars expanded universe for many generations to come. I’ve been busy writing a series of articles that are all interrelated and therefore taking a bit longer for me to write, so this was a perfect way to let you know I’m still here, and to remind you not to let go of our star wars expanded universe/legends any time soon.
For those of you who know this particular scene, you will understand the irony immediately. But if you aren’t as familiar with every single phrase and word uttered in all of the Star Wars movies like some of use are, I’ll reiterate the correct words that were spoken at this time, so you too can follow the humour.
Chancellor Palpatine is speaking to Anakin Skywalker of Darth Plagius ‘The Wise’, who had learned to master the ability to ‘keep the ones he loved from dying’. Anakin has already dreamed of the death of his wife Padmé, and therefore is completely drawn in by what Palpatine is sharing with him. Naturally Anakin wants to do everything in his power to save Padmé.
The True Conversation As If This Meme Was Taken Straight From The Movie
Chancellor Palpatine: “The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.”………….
Anakin Skywalker: Is it possible to learn these powers?”
Chancellor Palpatine: “Not from a Jedi!”
Save The Expanded Universe!
It really makes me sad when I think of all the stories lost to others if they don’t consider getting to know the expanded universe of star wars. If you are looking for them, you can still find them, often listed as the star wars Legends now. If you want to know more to see if they are worth reading or learning more about, please follow my blog.
My aim is to preserve these stories, or at help others learn more if they can’t find the actual books etc anymore. Don’t misunderstand me, I still love the new stories and the direction Disney has taken with them, read my article that explains this, but I love ALL star wars stories and don’t want YOU to miss out.
I hope you enjoyed this Star Wars meme as much as I did. If you have any comments to add here, please do. I love connecting with fellow fans.
Thanks for reading
